04 — Careers
Shop careers. Field careers.
Two kinds of work, one standard. Everyone here is expected to care whether the piece fits.
On the shop floor
- Structural welder
- Fillet and groove welds on structural and miscellaneous steel, mostly flat and horizontal. Weld test at hire.
- Fitter / fabricator
- Read shop drawings, lay out, fit and tack assemblies for the welders.
- Cutting table & saw operator
- Run the saw, drill line and cutting table; mark parts to piece marks.
- Painter / finisher
- Surface prep, primer and coating application, touch-up and staging.
- Shop helper
- Material handling, grinding, cleanup and a path into fitting or welding.
On the steel
- Ironworker / erector
- Set and connect structural and miscellaneous steel at height.
- Field welder
- Out-of-position structural welding and field fixes.
- Installer (stairs & rails)
- Field measure and install stairs, rails and guards, often in finished buildings.
- Field foreman
- Run an erection crew, plan picks, and report back to the shop.
- Apprentice
- Learn connecting, bolting and rigging under an experienced foreman.
We hire for these roles as work requires — send your CV and we'll reach out when there's a fit.
